Rev. Harriet Hawkins, Senior Minister

Harriet Hawkins has been a minister with the Centers for Spiritual Living since 2000. She did her ministerial training at Agape and has since served in three different centers. She has been an Asst. Minister at the Oakland Center for Spiritual Living and senior minister at Celebration Center for Spiritual Living in Falls Church, VA and Tri-Valley Unity in Dublin, CA. Currently, it is her great delight to co-create an open and inclusive spiritual community in Livermore Valley. Her passion is a life dedicated to waking up, and serving from that place to the best of her ability.

Harriet is married to Jack Quigley, the leader of the Lighthouse Band, and she loves being a mom to their son Julian, a 2022 graduate of Livermore High School.

Rev. Kathy Scharmer, Staff Minister

Kathy Scharmer was raised in the Christian Science tradition as a child and later joined Unity in her 20's. She discovered CSL in 2001 when looking for a venue for her upcoming wedding to John Scharmer. She was an active member of CSL San Jose serving in many capacities including the Hospitality Committee, House Manager for the CSLSJ Community theater and Sunday school teacher for the Youth and Family ministry. Kathy joined CSL Peninsula in Redwood City in 2013 and later served a 4 year term as the Board President. Kathy became a licensed CSL minister in 2017 and was ordained in 2020. Kathy is passionate about education and considers herself a lifelong student. She has developed several workshops/classes and facilitates both certificated and non-certificated courses for CSLLV.
